Application for Confederate Service Pension for David Thomas Mansker

D.T. Mansker (1847-1929) served in Jacman's regiment under Gen. Jo Shelby. He participated in the campaign that became known as "the Missouri Raid". He survived some of the fiercest fighting of the war. After the war, he became a minister of the gospel. In 1870, he married Martha Jane Stewart. In the early decades of the 1900s, many states, including Oklahoma, offered pensions to Soldiers of the Confederacy and in May of 1922, D. T. Mansker applied for and was awarded such a pension.
